Paynesville Historical Society & Museum Grounds

The Paynesville Historical Society's Museum is uniquely staged to give visitors the experience of walking through a historical town. 

Brown School

 The Brown Schoolhouse is an authentic one- room school house unchanged from how it was furnished when it was filled with country school children. 

 Ebenezer Church 

An historic Evangelical church

is a fully furnished church that was moved to the Museum in 2011.

The museum has an outdoor display of historical farm equipment and machinery.

We have several events that are held annually, in addition to new events each year.  The best event is open all year (check our hours) which is the museum.
